You need to take that tire off , axle end off of the "trumpet" housing [8 or 9 nuts].. Pull the axle shaft out with the bearing housing.. Don't loose the shims there.. Remove that nut on the axle shaft, and press the shaft out of the bearing housing. Now you can get to the seal.. When driving the new seal in , fill the entire inside of the seal with grease so the tensioner spring doesn't pop out when driving the seal in place..

A 340 has inboard wet brakes. Pull wheel, drop loader frame both sides, pull ROPS if has one.Drain oil, unhook brake linkage, Get cheery picker pull trumpet and axle as assembly. Stand up, remove brakes. Take bolt or lock and bolts out of axle. Unstake seal, lift hsg with cherry picker.Pull bearing of axle then old seal. assembly is reverse. After put together pry seal up tite and stake in groove and hookup all stuff took loose. Have fun.

ok, i want to be prepared before i start. the seal probably wore out because the bearing went bad, so i might as well buy it too? do i need any gaskets? im guessing that i will jack it up and put a jack stand under the pumpkin? we have a motor lift to help remove the "trumpet" I've been waiting for an excuse to buy a shop press, 20 ton ought to do it? if you have any pic's that would be great and thanks
