Bobcat Compact Tractor???

I"m thinking about selling my IH 300 utility in favor of something more modern and convenient for our small goat dairy. Saw a Bobcat 30 hp compact tractor (2007) that uses a Deadong (sp?) 3 cylinder diesel. The tractor caught my eye because the loader uses standard skid-steer attachments and because the tractor is heavier than some others of similar hp (over 3000 lbs).

Any experience with Bobcat tractors good or bad? Thanks. Bob

My son told me that Bobcat plans to stop selling there compact tractors. Parts may be a issue in the future.

Looked at a Bobcat compact tractor last fall. I see there are NONE on the lot now. I bought a Mahindra and am happy with it. It also has a Dedong (sp) engine. Mine is a 4 cylinder, but I know some Mahindra's use the 3 cylinder model.

Looked at Mahindras last fall, impressed with what I saw. Not at all like the earlier models I'd seen years ago. Much more refined. Impressed that even the smallest one, Max 22 had a full frame that would stand up to the small backhoe they had for it. Have a local dealer trying to build up their business in an area with lots of JDs and Kubota dealers. Was making pretty good cash deals.

I see a dealer on Craigslist here is advertising his last 3-4 bobcat tractors and saying "the last of the bobcat compacts" so I'm thinking they have quit making them????? But for what it's worth I think a lot of the newer compact are using the "bobcat " quick attach for the bucket. I know kabota uses it.

Bob run don,t walk away.. Bob cat WAS a re badged Kioti but the deal blew up no longer offred and support only thru Kiote dealers witch may or may not be up to par. You can get UNIVERSAL skid steer type quick attach on most all compacts. Pretty much common quick attach now.

If you can afford it keep the 300 and pick up a good skid loader for barn cleaning, etc. Cousin bought a used Bobcat skid loader 15 years ago, we don't know how we got along without it prior to the purchase.

Kubota for a small tractor is probably one of the better choices. I have also heard a lot of good things about Mahindra.....
