I'd like to put a 1 1/2 to 2" steel pipe on the bottom of my 3-point rear blade....trying to think of just how to attatch it without welding....others say use plastic pipe.....but when its 0 outside and your using it hard...I don't see plastic pipe holding up very well..I have no cab and I want to get it done...it takes me 2-3 hours every time I plow to get every thing done.Plastic pipe(to me) won't hold up to my abuse.

If you have the ability to cut a slit in the pipe, or weld tabs to the pipe, and bolt the tabs to the cutting edge bolts, you could do it that way...

I have 2" steel pipe on mine. Weld two tabs on both side of pipe that will catch the blade then weld two hooks on each side of pipe.Use chain binders on the hooks to the top side of blade. It just take a few minutes to mount or remove.

I use plastic first year, only got the season. Next I split a piece of galv. fence pipe and slid it down the length of the cutting edge. Got two years. now have a pipe with tabs on it. Look down the posts till you find the one that says Stone in yard and it looks the same. works to keep about 90% of the rocks out of the yard. After a plow or two you pick up any rocks

What kind of blade do you have mines a worksaver it has skid shoes go to worksaver i think they have pics there in parts book

As was said, split the pipe.Weld tabs to pipe.Bolt to blade. That would however probly require some holes to be drilled in the blade moldboard.

I'd have to look....had it for 35 years 5' long about 18-20" high i'll try to see who made it...it's an old heavy thing..but served me well through the years..for many jobs.

Have a home made front blade for my loader made out of gas pipe and have always wanted to do something like that but thought maybe a 10" piece on each end would do the job. Just need to keep the ends from digging in. Thought maybe just slitting the pipe and driving it onto the blade. It does have adjustable shoes on each end that helps a lot.

Don't use anything smaller than a 3 inch pipe. A 4-6 inch pipe will work better. I showed you how to weld brackets on pipe and bolt it to the blade.

If you want to install the pipe to your plow without welding and you cat weld....take it to an exhaust shop to have it welded ???
