I would guess that no harm will be done,in terms of volume a half gallon would be pretty dilute in the total volume of fluid in the rad, there is nothing in washer fluid that would corrode or cause water pump damage, likely an alcohol based liquid,if it was my vehicle I wouldn't be too worried

Has this just been done or is it already mixed through the system?

If it"s still mostly in the recovery bottle or surge tank, I would siphon out what I could, just to be on the safe side.

My sister did that to her Buick about 4 years ago and the dealer said it had to all be drained and new antifreeze put in.

If it put the cooling system ph out of balance or changed the chemistry enough to disarm the corrosion inhibitors new antifreeze would be a good thing. The dealer might have wanted to sell her a new engine, too, but didn't feel like stretching his luck that far.

Get it out as soon as possible. The alcohol in the washer fluid will damage seals and hoses. Flush the coolant. Short term it will be ok. If you know that it is only in the recovery tank you can just drain and clean that. David

All I know is, if you check the freeze point with a cheap ball anti freeze checker, it will read pure water. I did not say it will freeze, I never found out,I drained it out and started again.
