what are you guys charging for 1/4's , 1/2's, wholes. processing not included, just buyer paying for the hanging carcass as it is in the lockers cooler. 13-18 months old, angus crosses, corn and pellets full feed for 3 months, with little roughage.

Last one's I sold through the ring brought $1.30. If you figure 220% of that hanging,it puts halves at $2.86. More if you've been getting closer to $1.40-1.45.

Last one we sold was at $2.75/pound, and they pay processing. The next one will be at $3.00. As long as I have a list of people wanting my beef, I will keep going up.

I paid $2.00 + processing fees 2 weeks ago. We've bought off the same guy for the past 6 years. Always has darned good grain fed and well marbled meat. He just went to 2.00 this year. Keith

In 2013 I got $2.75/ lb hot carcass weight for natural grass fed beef (24-28 month old steer) plus share of kill cost. Cut and wrap goes $0.55/lb.

I paid $2.85 last yr. but now the fella has sold out to go RV'ing. Trying to locate another source.

I sold them last year 2.25 per pound and customer pays processing. I deliver them to the slaughter house. Corn feed, all they can eat from weaning time, 15 mo. old Holstein steers. Same people keep coming back year after year.
I will probably keep the price the same this year. I raised it from 2.00 last year.

sold one @ $2.00 a pound hanging weight. Customer will pay processing on top of that. selling by hanging weight is the best way to go I think. No need for buyer and seller to squander over the live weight wich is irrelevent if animal going to hang anyways and nobody gets burnt and hanging weight is pretty much undesputable. 1/2's and 1/4's should be same price just less weight to buy.
