Wondering, what Valentine plans ya'll have for your significant other?

Trying to come up with something other than the usual flowers/candy/card routine.

Any tried and true solutions?

This year we are going on a weekend getaway. Friday evening and Saturday morning we will be attending a marriage conference at a church we want to know more about. Saturday night we have tickets to a dinner theater. We are investing in us, should be fun.

Get her a tractor! I would say get her a gun, but sometimes that works out different than you have planned lol.

I thought about letting her Armor-all the tractor tires, but I'm NOT showing her how to start it!

I don't think I could even force her to hold the gun, let alone shoot it!!! Good thing for me! LOL

Now that sounds like a good Valentine weekend! There are some live theaters around, if I could get tickets. The conference sounds good too!

I did take her to see Fred Eaglesmith a few years ago. Said she enjoyed it... Bet she thought I was just getting even for having to go to The Nutcracker Ballet, twice!

As member of local veterans council this Sat. nite taking her out to our Heart to Heart dinner at the local Ag Office. Will be good food, good friends and silent auction fund raiser.

We don't need much and this is way to go out and still give back to those that gave to our country.

Don't do anything for Valentines Day. Just another made up money holiday, like Halloween. My wife doesn't need a holiday to know how much she means to me.

Guys plan ahead and don't forget Valentines is on the 14th, two days away on Friday. Only 12 days after Ground Hog Day so it's easy to remember.
Surprise your honey and taker her out to diner and don't make her wait. Choose an off peak time to take the McDonalds drive through together.
Make it special and super size those fries along with a diet pop.

Steve:

Since I have outlived 2 wives and all of my children, my "significant other" is just my pet Bambi Goat and I will be getting her a new bale of Alfalfa.

How's that for new & unusual? LOL

LOL my son in laws brother tried that. His wife said they needed to have a romantic dinner last year for Valentines day so he took her through the drive through at McDonalds and in the parking lot lite candles and put em on the dash. I guess it didn't work out to well for him.

A weekend in Chicago with dinner at Mortons or Gibsons will always work. Anniversary is the 16th so we normally combine the two.

My wife is taking the day off work. She is going for a massage and then we are going out to dine at the Ricketts Glen Hotel, conveniently located in the middle of nowhere.

I don't know what to say  . My condolences as this must be a particularly difficult time of year.

8N'r--WI; get out of that bid city and head down the railline to RoadHouse Pizza; but that will be crowded this weekend.

You can take your wife here for a week or two and she will never forget this Valentines Day. Or if you just want to surprise her get a fresh haircut, shave and put on a jacket and tie. Remember Good woman not cheap, cheap woman not good.

It's become kind of a joke here that she gets a cheesy valentines coffee mug from the dollar store after the year she got one because I was out of work at the time and it was all I could afford. The next year she made it so clear she didn't want another one that she gets one every year. Now I put a gift card from the hair dresser or her favourite coffee shop in it.

Damn, Doc, that makes me want to cry.... I can't imagine the pain I would feel if it were me.... Peace and Grace...

My back went out Tuesday morning. I don't think my girlfriend is getting anything, anytime soon.
