I use Mr. Heater for a backup heat source. It's also nice to have in barn to warm the fingers.

I've used other heaters that attach to the top of a propane tank, however they all give me a headache. Mr. Heater has no smell, no headache, uses no electricity, the fire brick glow and radiate heat. It comes with a built in oxygen sensor. I purchased a digital CO detector. Never had to use it to heat house, but I think it will do a good job. It will definately be cheaper to operate than using a gas powered genny to make electricity to make heat.

My shop back-up is an old two burner Mr. Heater that I mounted on a base with handle and castors, rolls around to where I am working. I also use it to stay warm until I get a fire going in the woodburner.
