Well, 40 years ago tonight, we got married. The hardest working woman I have ever known. Country girl that grew up on a small farm and loves living on our small farm. She has always supported me in everything including buying old tractors even 1500 miles away. She always gets upset if I sell a tractor.
Loves helping out at whatever I have going on.
Great cook and mother and grandma. She told me a few minutes ago that she was so glad she married me.
I told my daughter in law today, I must have done something right to be happy so long. She said "Yea, you married the right woman".

Richard,
Congratulations to you and your wife. Sounds like you have an amazingly great bride. You must be very proud. Ladies like that are priceless.

One of our preachers said a while back he felt that around 75% of ones ether happiness or misery was due to their choice of mate. You obviously made a good choice, and she must have also.

Congratulations as well. That reminds me of the Indiana Jones movie, with the knight in it speaking of the grail....You have chosen..wisely...

Bless You both. A real man only speaks good of his wife and is not afraid to tell others how much HE loves Her.Bring her down to Charleston for a little vacation.

Congratulations Richard and Mrs.

Almost there myself. Will be 38 years this summer.

Watch out for the snow coming this week. You may get to see some of it too.

Congratulations on your 40th. We're heading to our 61st. I went to school with her and we got married when I was in the Army. Our daughter was born at Ft Bragg, NC. I invited her to my senior prom in 1951. Here's a pic taken in 1956. Hal

The next twenty will go by so fast it will seem like a dream. My older brother was married 5 times. Hal

Congrats to you both. We'll hit 43 on Feb 12.

Mrs. (WA) and I are both pretty frugal. New restaurant owned by a kid we know opened last week- they advertised a Valentines Day Dinner and show, Mrs. said lets go to that. So I stopped and asked about tickets, they are 50, 75 or a hundred bucks- EACH! I guess I would have sprung for that, as we don't splurge that often, but thought I better run it by her. She didn't even hesitate- "FORGET IT!- I think we have a gift card to Applebys somewhere. . ."

'Course, she has been known to spend a few bucks on her horses. . . But that's a whole nuther story.

We will have 40 years on Thanksgiving day this year we are both on our second married but did it right this time.
