RE: My computer problem

My post is now a few pages back. I had disappearing task and tool bars, both bottom and top. The one on top would reappear once in awhile, but I never could catch up with it to drag it down, as Allan suggested. So I tried the Restore, suggested by Walt. Worked like a charm- all's right with the world. Thanks, guys.

Gonna be more careful of my "home keys", as Mrs. Lynn called them in Typing 1. Can still picture her, standing at the front of the room and blinkin' like a toad in a hailstorm, saying, "Allright, class, hands in position, feet flat on the floor, eyes on copy, ready, TYPE!"

Yup, home row we called it. I still see my typing teacher now and then. She came to our 60th class reunion last summer and was doing great. Last surviving teacher we had as far as class knew. Saw her on Thanksgiving and she has really gone down hill.

Fifty some years out of high school, I tried to persuade our typing teacher to replicate teaching a class at a reunion. There would be several of us with the old; Royals, Underwoods etc. I was longing especially to hear the noise of the key strokes, the bell-to signal the end of a line and the carriage return. Think that half of our population has never heard this.

I'm glad my post was able to help you. I've used Restore many times as it is the only thing that will un-do my mistakes. One time I even crashed the hard-drive (not easy to do) & Restore un-did the crash.
