Could not get her to go for a full size truck , sob, cry whine, nothing worked. She wanted another "Girlie truck" .Ugh! So we got her a Nissan Frontier,4x4 crew cab, almost like driving a full size station wagon. But she likes it , so OK , I guess..... still would of rather had a real truck. Hey , when is my turn????

Well, as good as she is at wrapping bales I guess it's OK to let her have her girlie truck.

Real nice truck pretty color too. Now get a sears auto catalog and fix it up like mine.

Nice truck....called the Navara over here and it has done well with good reports, but then ours are all diesel.....Hope it does well for you.............Sam

Heck when new car time comes, I just ask her what she wants and go and get it. Keeps her happy thus keeps me happy.

Good for her, and don't do or say anything that will have your sleeping on a sofa out in a tool shed.

My brother and I were talking the other day, and we have two sisters that have never owned a rear wheel drive anything. When I offered to loan one the real good shape barn Jeep for the winter with almost brand new Cooper M/S all the way around, she said "...that's rear wheel drive, no...". So, I bought her four Cooper M/S for her front wheel drive only Hyundai Santa Fe, and wished her good luck. So far, luck has been on her side, thankfully.

Bruce,
I had to look twice to make sure,

I think my misses has a twin! Nice looking lady, and would ensure she'd get the truck she wants.

Not a trailer puller, but a real nice truck for her. I have not heard anything bad about them.

Hated to see what happened before, but trucks you can buy, not so sure about a wife, .... lets not go there LOL.

What really got my attention was that particular make and model and its unrelated, don't mean to hijack your post, been a rough couple of days maybe you'll enjoy the story.

This has not been a good week/end, we lost a long time friend and farmer, its been real hard on me, I'll probably post something about it some time later, I have a bunch of photos as well. So here I am trying to get through this and its not pleasant or easy at times, have not felt like normal in days.

I came home from the wake, don't feel like eating, just staying busy, but then I see this reflection of headlights, they turn and back into my little field here, lights off, I hear voices, one sounds like the neighbors daughter, but its not her, this is strange. So now concerned, and its dark, I go out with the super bright light ready to use, and quietly approach from behind a pine tree, stop to listen. Its 2 young ladies, one a sophmore and the other a freshman from a well renowned local college, RPI. The vehicle is what your wife has, Nissan Frontier and they are sitting on the tailgate. One is from, Lewiston Maine, and the other from Maryland.

So instead of being a crab, hey what are you doing, get off my land LOL !! I turned it into humor, thinking to myself this is really odd, and with the weird people out there today, just baffling, well I'm glad it was me and here, I sure in heck aint one of them types. I then thought, might just be someone trying to smoke weed, thats happened before. Well the back door was locked and no one was robbing my house, so..... I ran with it. I kept em entertained with my philosophy on wherever the conversation went. Well it took my mind off things, nothing like humor when you need it even under these odd circumstances. Cold temps eventually made us part ways, they might or want to come back like the view or something, well I said do so in daylight and warm weather or If you see us out on the pond, bring skates or tell some people, we have had students, come for pick up hockey games before, and we are always short of players.

Oh well, I needed that, losing a friend is so hard to deal with, I sure never knew this was going to happen, and hopefully no one is casing my house planning to rob me LOL !! Sometimes I think things happen for a reason, and the other thoughts are, who are these girls parents, ya'll should know better than to tail gate in the dark on strangers land, well unless its my land and you are in a Nissan Frontier ! What a day, I go from a solemn time at a wake to an unnannounced one night only, improv comedy hour in the cold and dark, just the darnedest things happening lately!

Nice!! Not every gal gets a pick up that matches her coat. :)

Hey, when she's ready to sell it 9-10 years... give me a shout-out on YT... my husband will be looking for a new Frontier by that time and it would be new to us! LOL.

She will like it. We have a 2003 Frontier quad cab and it's great!

Congrats, Mrs. B!
Knew a guy that had Frontier and used it for his work. Never heard of him missing a day because of a breakdown. When building business went south, he started dragging a landscape trailer with it. That's been more than 5 years and saw it just the other day. STill ridin' the roads.

I still fondly recall a skit Roger Welch did years ago on his "Postcards from Nebraska" on CBS Sunday morning show. He was talking about what a real pickup truck was. His definition was an aged, scratched, dented, dirty, worn out truck with beer cans, scattered hand tools tools, loose hay, flat spare tire and a mongrel farm dog in the bed. He compared that to a clean, shiny new fresh-smelling truck that a city person may drive to a fine restaurant.
The punch line was his statement that you would no sooner drive another persons farm truck than to wear his underwear!!
