Well after ending a very successful 52 year carreer as a bachelor, I succumbed to matrimony a couple of months ago.

While I had other reasons for my choice for the style of my wedding band I had custom made, it later occurred to me what a resemblence it has to an old style tractor tire... Luckily for me, my bride hasn't made the same connection yet.

BTW, would you two ever consider starting a remake of Green Acres? LOL
 
I wish you a Happy and long marriage. I have been blessed with two great women that agreed to marry me. I was happy to share the years my first wife had to offer. After she passed I was lost for awhile. My second wife pulled me out of the wilderness.
 
You lasted longer than I did. I went until I was just a few months shy of 40 before tying the knot. Our sixth anniversary was November of last year. It's been hard between the economy and a lot of other crap going on but I think we've finally seen the light and are looking forward to things getting better as time goes on. One thing we've both learned is that no matter how bad things get they aren't nearly as bad as they seem if we both work together. I think that's the hardest thing about waiting until so late in life to get married is that you've been so independent for so many years it's hard to actually rely on anyone. That all said, good luck, and best wishes for many happy years to come.
 
Best Wishes and have a long marriage. The wife and I just celebrated 40 years today, you can get there to.

Congratulations!

What a lucky gal... I did not get a rusty tractor as part of the deal until we hit the 27 year mark! LOL. We are working on year 29 now.
 
Congrats. Now when she tells you to go buy a new chain saw, after you spend all day Saturday trying to start that old rusty old derned old thing, listen to her.
 
Congratulations! I wish you both many years of happiness. I did it the other way, spent 29+ years married, most of it "happily". Now I've been divorced and single over 24 years. The ring looks like the old curved bar closed center Firestone tire tread of many years ago, right?
