moving snow (pic)

I was over at the mother in laws the other day clearing her drive. She went out and took a picture.

In the fore ground the snow was only about 5". Where I was blowing at was where the 30-40 MPH winds had drifted and that was from 2-3 feet.

Wish spring would get here.

My brother has a big blower on his 1030 Case; it can walk right through 6-7ft. drifts with no problem.

Sure beats shoveling.

Nice photo Rick.
Kinda wish I could use a snow blower here sometimes. Cept living close in here in the city my neighbors probably wouldn't appreciate my throwing the wrenches, stones, bolts and other stuff I left in the yard through their windows.
This winter has been tougher than most.
I keep thinking of the day when I can head south with the other snowbirds for part of the winter.
I don't need 70 degrees in January like FL, AL, MS, TX, AZ or some of those places. 50 degrees like in OK, AR or TN would be fine.

LOL you wouldn't believe how far that thing can a hard object. 1st time this year I hit a fist sized rock my grand daughter left in their drive. I bet it went at least 100 feet. Glad the spout was pointing in a safe direction. Rock becomes a projectile real fast!

(quoted from post at 11:53:23 02/02/14) our snow has been dry and not much of it. I wish I had one of them brooms they use on the roads!

You wouldn't have gotten very far with that broom last week. The wind had been 30-40 with gust up to 50 and the snow was packed in hard. I had slabs breaking off in front to the blower the width of the blower & the depth of the snow and anywhere from 5-15 feet long that slid along as the blower slowly ate them.
