Groundhog Day

Looks like 6 more weeks of winter, but then again that would
be a blessing after the last 3 months in WI. Ground hog lives in
fence line behind tractor but didn"t see him this morning,
maybe the -5 temps scared him. Good day to all!

I would not trust any prophet that is so poor he lives in a hole in the ground, Also would not believe an investment advisor who wears a baseball cap and drinks coffee all morning and beer all afternoon.

No shadow in western Ohio today.

If groundhog sees his shadow means 6 more weeks of winter, no shadow means a month and a half.

Half your firewood
Half your hay

Half be left
on groundhog day

im wondering how that saying got started because there is some reasoning behind that.
if the snow is melting it will be cloudy hence snow melt equals early spring.now if its not cloud but clear snow is not melting and then it will be a late spring
