Remember this one from Second grade--My young grandchildren really liked it----
What's Black and White and Red all over?

A NEWSPAPER

Spelling would give it away--- LOL

Well, you shouldn't call me Nancy and Randy, but what I remember: Mz. Pierce reading "Casey At Bat" and the emphasis on "Strike One the umpire said". We had to talk to someone in the room on a make-believe telephone; we didn't have a phone/I'd never talked on a phone....kinda stressed me out. Also had to tell the plot/story line about a movie we'd seen. My folks had started attending a fundamentalist church and we were told we would go to HAIL for going to the movies, dancing, wearing makeup (for the girls) etc. I was able to recall an old Abbott and Costello movie I'd seen before we were enlightened and was able to recall enough of it to get by.

I was a good student; wasn't afraid of the teachers, but my dad would've beat the hell out of me for getting in trouble in school. NEVER got in trouble.......did I mention why?

Oh man! You don't want to know. We had our 40th reunion a few months ago and one of the gals asked me and my best friend if we remembered what we all used to play every recess in the 5th grade. I hadn't thought about it in years but was glad she remembered. My best friend didn't remember a minute of it but I wonder if he was just too embarrassed to admit it. The rest of us sure got a kick out of talking about it though.

Like I said,you don't want to know.
