14 local deaths since Saturday because of heroine laced with another drug making it 100 times more potent. Some people don't want to die, but don't realize what they do is just playing with fire. Sad to see so many people in their 20's and 30's in the obituaries, and sad to see the families suffering. It puts a lot of people through a lot of pain. No parent should ever have to bury their children. Hopefully God is able to grant forgiveness for those who never asked for it, until it was too late.

Got a friend who's on edge about doing it again. He said that when he had bypass surgery he saw the gates of hell and the gates of Heaven. Never saw such a changed man in my life. Said he never wants to see that again!

Noon news update...

Death toll from fentanyl laced heroin is now 22 in 4 days. Noon news story said that the Pennsylvania Attorney General is working with police to get anyone selling it put in jail.

Um..... I'm pretty sure they should have been doing that all along, right?

After North Africa and the Normandy invasion and Northern Europe campaign, Pop said he was religious and wanted to go to heaven because he had seen enough hell to last him. So, he wasn't afraid of dying- he'd already seen his fair share. He just wanted to go gently.
