Weather and down south

Watched the weather at 6pm. Weather guy for one station showed what he/they believe will happen down south. Calling for snow in Mississippi and other places like that all the way to the east coast. Guess we really have some bad global warming going on. LOL
But hey you guys down south be safe if you have to drive some place I know many down your way fall in a ditch just looking at snow

Here in central Ga they are calling for possibly two inches of snow or more. My wife teaches school and they have already cancelled school for Tuesday and Wednesday even though a flake has yet to fall.Mention snow in the south and everybody automatically freaks out.I really would not mind getting some snow so my girls can have a snow play day.

Ya funny how if your up north 12 inches slows you down and how if your in say Mississippi an inch slows them down. Guess I am lucky. I have live as far north as MN/MI/CT and south in AL/MS/FL so I know both warm and cold. Plus been to places like Egypt where it is hot and as far north as Scotland and the arctic circle

No doubt on the snowy south, but what has my attention with this system is the ice. I live in an area the computer models show ice, and old, I remember the postings you made several years ago when your area got nailed by an ice storm. I thought to myself then ice is nothing to play with. On the bright side the local power company had a right of way crew on the lines on my property & I did not get in their way. RDA-thanks for the great work I appreciate you guys. So now at least on the stretch of line serving my house the power lines have a lot of clearance, the whole tree would have to fall. We will make it, & yall stay safe up there!

Supposed to hit 80 here in the Phoenix area on Thursday.

Fill a couple bags with cash and c'mon down!

Where I live in W SC we are supposed to get an inch of snow. Temp. at 8:20 31.5, was warmer when I got up. Close to the coast they are supposed to get up to 1/2 inch of ice.

KEH

Yep ice and trees and power lines do not mix. The local power company just cut limbs this month on my place also. I did not get in there way but I also helped them by telling them leave any thing that would work for fire wood laying and I would use it

Well Ice-magedon has come and stayed for a day or so, really didn"t get what they said we would so we dodged a bullet really. News reports panhandle or florida had power outages but Baldwin County Al seems to be in good shape. What a relief. THe roads are not fit for a southerner to drive on though, and Im staying put for a day or so. Good luck all, we dodged a bullet down here!

You guys and gals down south need to use special care on the ice. Even some of us northerners stay home when the roads ice up. Jim
