Good Day Loading Hay

An old guy once told me that if the wind wasn't blowing, and the sun was out, the temperature didn't matter. Today was one of those days. I stacked this load of hay by my lonesome this afternoon, and the temp was around 15 degrees, but just a beautiful afternoon to be out working. Usually I round up help to load semis, but decided just to do this one on my own. Got done as the sun set.

Yeah, loader and grapple did most of the work. I'd set on enough to make a layer, then get on the truck and stack it, then set on more, etc... Never lifted one over a few inches, but did place them all.

It's always a little different up there than here. We're cold, but perfectly dry. I think if you go south you run into weather again. Never can tell what you'll hit.

Nice looking load there. Ive only loaded atrailer like

that once. It wasn't bad but it was in the dark. We usually load van trailers here. Hoping to ship some more, it's been pretty slow this year.

be careful, last thursday my 77 year old brother in law fell off the stack and broke his neck. funeral is this friday..

It was nice and sunny here in Wheatland today. I went south to get a load of fertilizer and made it to Chugwater before it started spitting and it snowed from there to Pine Bluffs and back.

I have very good small square bales of alfalfa for sale. Third cutting, stored inside. Have enough for a semi load. Located in the middle of Kansas.
