Thanks for the pics....never saw that before.

PS...you may want to go back outside and check out that dark spot in your top photo....that could be your neighbors hand sticking out of that snowball.....any missing persons reported in your area? :>)

I was expecting to see big roller mounted on a tractor flattening the snow on the roads. What did you expect, from someone from California who has to travel over 50 miles just to see snow? Stan

It's time to leave that neighborhood. Dam stuff is laying eggs. Must be a BIG storm building. How long does it take before they hatch???????

When I was leaving the house this AM I thought
What in the Heck is in my yard?? I have about
50 in my frt yard most 8" diameter a few 20".
They look like little logs rolled up.

Never seen them here in central Florida nor do I want to!! Ya'll keep them we got enough problems. Course if you did send them down here they wouldn't last long seeing how it in the low 70's

i live in the easteren part of ohio about 75 miles east of columbus off i-70 and we had them here, though i cant ever remember seeing them ever before.but i am over fifty so maybe i just forgot.

Got them here in Auglaize county in Ohio as well. Not only in field but also on roof top. Think I saw them once before.

That's what I was thinking too. They did use a large roller to pack the snow on roads back in the horse and buggy days and a bit even after cars and trucks replaced horses. I don't get much snow here in Greensboro, NC but one winter about 10 years ago it snowed deep enough the car bottom dragged in the snow and I couldn't make it out. With a gravel drive I didn't want to plow it. So I took the tractor and just used the tires to pack it driveway down. Worked fine.

I can tell you, the wind really whistled as the cold front came in.
Going to -5 tonite, colder tomorrow and -30 deg wind chill..
Sure do hope those are not "Snow Eggs"..!!
