I sell a few tractor parts to supplement my farming habit. Today is the USPS price increase. Not a big deal. The service also changed the way I can print and pay for labels. It doesn"t work! What else can those idiots in DC screw up? I realize to most people this is no big deal, but I"m pizzed.

Well, IF the Government were not drawing millions (Billions?) from the USPS (Hidden Tax) to supplement the Government, they would not need an increase for a long time..

Then, the lack of common sense of raising the postage in a small increment, with all the costs of printing everything on in the new denomination..coupled with the usual "ODD-Cent", that requires thousands of Man-Hours just counting pennies..
I feel for the Rural mail Carriers, only getting paid for 87% of the mail they carry, while the Higher-ups get a fat paycheck for coming up with these stupid decisions.
If it were not for "Management", the USPS would be a decent place to work..

I totally agree with you. The "hidden" tax and incredibly poor management have virtually ruined USPS. I am a retired USPS employee, after 40 yrs working there, my wife has 34 yrs and will retire in October. The majority of management people in the USPS are incapable of managing even an outhouse.
Plus there are far too many supervisors and managers, 1 for every 8 craft workers. The average business has 1 for every 40 workers.

They say there is the right way
The wrong way
And then there is the
Government/Military way
Notice that the Gov/MIL way is after the wrong way so it is not just wrong but way wrong.

Besides, I am a 1st hand witness to the CORRUPTION that management uses..
The "Good-Old-Buddy System" goes ALL the way to the TOP of Workers Compensation..( I took it all the way), then got a call from Cleveland stating that "IF you drop your Claim and Re-File to a lesser Claim, IT WILL GO RIGHT THRU"..
Exact wording from a "Ms TOY" at Worker's Comp, Cleveland..
Had 3 back surgeries and an Implant because of it, with NO Satisfaction what-so-ever..
I refuse to drop the claim to this day...
Still ON Record..
I was even REFUSED access to our Rural Carrier Attorneys 3 times by my State Steward.
