M nut round baler

I took some pictures of the baler,not the best but I'll give ya idea.its a 504 Vermeer series L front gathering wheels,uses two remotes one for the gate and the other does the twine tieing. Why are the middle belts twisted? Or are they supposed be like that.

They are twisted so you can see inside the baler and make
sure your baling the bale evenly across.

My understanding of Vermeer's twisted belts is to allow short stem type hay to drop out so it doesn't lodge in the belts.
