Northern Kentucky, 30 miles east of Cincinnati. Monday I drove to Louisville to visit a friend and look at some model train stuff. On the way back it was 48 degrees and I drove with the heater on low and the window rolled down. Woke up Tuesday morning to about 5 inches of snow and 9 degrees. Tuesday night and Wednesday night both below zero. It has been so windy that my tracks in the snow thru the fields are gone the next day. To keep this tractor related, my barn doors are frozen shut and I haven't seen a Farmall M in a week. Ellis

Yep! I took my grand daughter home to Louisville Monday, the same here now I make new tracks every morning, one battery died on the haymover and it is going to be below 0 tonight. We have been spoiled the last few winters but we are getting a refresher course in winter operating now.

Cincy radio weather folks said we had 24-26 inch snow this winter so far by Jan 22nd, as much as an entire winter in a "normal" winter season. They also said we had more snow in December than any December since 1917. Could be a winter for the record books. This is for southern Indiana, your mileage may vary.

I spent 2 hours on Tuesday morning trying to get the barn doors open to get the skid steer out only to find it must have some water in the fuel line some ware and froze. Nothing like standing on your head to work on something. The 11pm news just said it is 0 right now with a wind chill of -11 and no warm up anytime soon, But it looks like more snow on the way for the week end. I have been sitting hear thinking about bailing hay this summer to stay warm. Got to love it. Bandit

Early this AM, it was -27ºF here. Today's high was 23º, a whopping 50º swing.

Supposed to reach 20 on Saturday. For the next week or so highs around 15 lows around 0 to -5
