Propane prices

Got my price update for today. Wolsey and Yankton pipeline terminals are $3.00 today. I hope it is just temporary. Gonna put alot of demand on the electric grid if it stays permanent.

Contracted and prepaid mine back in August at $1.37 a gallon. Filled up last week and driver just gave me receipt for how many gallons I still had available

Always contract mine, $1.49 with FS. They filled it again yesterday 299 gal, filled it a couple weeks before Xmass and it was summer filled. Hasn't been this cold around N Illinois in about 20 years. Heard on the local weather yesterday last year to this date we had 3 inches of snow, this year 28 or 30 inches. Brrr.

I work at a scrap yard. Just yesterday our supplier told us to expect record high prices soon. Supply is down and demand high. One employee said his home tank was topped off yesterday , 199 gal. The driver said only allowed 200gal max at $3.79 gal. This is in northern Indiana

monday the 20th $2.65 southern state hopkinsville ky seem like lats i got in in oct was 1.65 any way i am warm,, on radio this a.m said that farmers drying there crop this year used 5 times as much as last year and then the cold snap couple weak ago so its doing nothing but going up

According to the propane guy on the radio today the wet crops used up over 4 times the usual propane, that combined with the cold weather has us actually importing propane.
it will only get worse for the next month.

Our wholesale price went up .50 overnight. What I am paying has doubled in the last two weeks.

I work part time for a local Independent. Today the manager got the dreaded phone call that the supplier is only getting 12 semi loads of propane a day and has to keep 40 companies supplied. do the math, that's one load per company every third day. wholesale price in Central Illinois from Morris and Farmington Terminals is now $3.80 a gallon plus. It jumped 65 cents today. better conserve while you can. the big tanks are starting to run dry. Prices on the East coast are already pushing $5 a gallon plus, prices could reach $6 a gallon or more.

Talked to a neighbor who has a lot of livestock about the propane issue. He has run out of his propane contract already. He said his contract is based on his average yearly use. His supplier said he has to send trucks to Norfolk Ne. for propane instead of the normal supplier. Norfolk is maybe 150? miles away when the normal supplier is 60 miles. We're in northwest Iowa. Jim

some truckers in central Illinois are running 12
hours to Hattiesburg, Mississippi one way just to
get a load of propane.

We live in a hard to heat double wide and go through about 100 gal in a month. Really hurts a fixed income at $3.89 a gal. If it was cold it wouldn't last 2 weeks.

I'm down to 20% on my tank, called today and they are limiting fills to 150 gallons - I didn't ask the price since I know it will suck :(
