Thanks for posting these. Beautiful country. And the
only way to get my wife to look at any YTMag posts!
Extra interesting to me, as some of my family came
from Scotland many, many years ago. (The family of
my Grandma on my Mom's side)

Something just occurred to me! Since you drive on the wrong side of the road, if you have one way moldboard(dirt) plows, do they throw to the left?

Larry, they do get more snow than what we do and definitely a lot less than you guys! Last time I was there it did snow but only about 3-4 inches. I decided to go this time as the whole of the UK was forecast to be mild and wet.....No chance of getting frozen in! But it was indeed wet!

Sam, by all means keep the pictures coming. It still scares me to look out the windshield at the left side of the road. Jim

When I came back from the Far East, I was used to riding a motorcycle on the left side of the road. Twice within the first few days here in the States I caught myself taking off down the left side.

No moldboard ploughs still throw to the right but two way ploughs are much more common than in most of North America. Sam

Once again, thanks for the photos! Love the guided tours. My son has been told by Scottish descendents here in the states, that my mother's family has Scottish roots. Would love to visit Ireland and Scotland, but for now will have to settle for Irish coffee and a bottle of Scotch. LOL

Sorry, I don't know....It is difficult enough driving AND taking photos never mind looking in the shop windows! I would say they are closed. usually it is al-U-minium roll down shutters for overnight closing.

Pucker factor creeps right up when I look at photos showing traffic over there.Funny thing is I spent time there and it didn't bother me.
