I got tired of smelling gas about every other time I walked in to the toolshed. The darned float would stick on the Oliver 77 about half the time. Not enough to loose a lot,but enough that it would run rough and flooded for the first few seconds, sometimes there'd be a little spot on the floor.
This switch was in a box of the sons junk out in the shop. Came off of a nitrous oxide kit. I grounded it to a starter bolt and hooked the hot wire to the ignition wire on the coil so it turns the gas on when I turn the ignition switch on. I can't turn the gas off manually on it because the side curtains are in the way.
I've had one on my 1600 for 13 years now. That one came off of an old New Idea UniHarvester that I parted out. Been working flawlessly all that time.
