O/T computer help needed

My grandson was visiting yesterday and now I have blue lettered words here and there with a green circular arrow which I believe are called hyperlinks. Can anyone walk me through how to get rid of them? Thank you for your time. Gerard
 
Oh, and depending how old the lad is and if you don't want him changing things. Set up a guest used account that does not have administrative privileges and then password protect your user account.
 
I think you need someone who knows how to check the setup, could be simple, could be a problem.

Most likely he installed some kind of file sharing service like Dropbox or Skydrive. Best thing to do is ask him what he did and tell him not to change your computer without your permission.
 
Shut it down and restart it or do a restore to a previous date. Google restore computer.
 
If you do a restoration...

Make sure it is only a "restore point" --

Do NOT do a "system restore" or I'm pretty sure you will virtually reset your computer to when it was new, and will wipe out any software that you have loaded over time. This would also wipe out all the updates that have been downloaded over time as well.
 
In windows 7 at the top of the browser window select TOOLS, go to INTERNET OPTIONS, go to ADVANCED, go down to where it says underline links and uncheck it.

If windows 8, I don"t know.
