People have short memories. I can only attest for the last 57 years but the weather does cycle. Next week it could go sub zero for 7 days. I remember the last time I road my 750 Honda, February 16th. Was 33 years ago and 68 degrees. On the other hand, snow in the adirondacks on July 4th. Guys I was riding with offered me $200 for my jacket.

Hang in there Jay, you"ll get some crap weather yet.

My point was the strange weather swings. I remember them too, it rained all day here yesterday, I can remember something like that only happened on a rare freak occasion now it's like the normal thing. Yes we will be getting more crap weather I'm sure., but I like this better than 90* and humid for a week straight! Lol

I saw the moon last night and setting this morning, clear skies!! I'm hoping it will freeze up, so I can tow some more logs in, work out side, kind of mushy out there today, but I'll take it !!!

Just wait. It's January. It was nice yesterday morning, sun shining,no wind to speak of. By late afternoon it was cold, windy and snowing. Today, just cloudy, windy and cold. Another storm moving in for tomorrow.

maybe you better check to be sure that your mowers are ready to go before you attack the wood pile.

Just wait it will change. 45* here yesterday and nice sun . High of 29* today and wind chill of -16*. Gotta love Ohio weather.

It's what they use to call the January thaw. When I was a kid which is manyyyyyyyy years ago we always got what they called a January thaw.

I am really concerned about getting my fruit trees buds, frozen off again this year! I had a very sparse yield last year, due to a freeze at the wrong time. I was walking the orchard yesterday, in 50 deg weather, and noticed beginning buds on cherries, apples, and English walnuts. This is way too early, in my opinion. My 2 hazelnut bushes, had about 1" long polenators hanging on them. They look like miniature cattails.

Yeah they said the sun was gonna shine here in the catskills south of you and when it did I squinted and missed it. Guess you got it all.

What is this "snow" thing you speak of? Every few years we get a few flurries of this white stuff. More of a novelty here in central Alabama.

I had a cat that would sleep like that. I checked on him many times. Before I learned he was a hard sleeper. You could drive a tank by him and he wouldn't move. But he could hear the cat food can being opened with no problem.
