Saw this on the local Craigslist.
1964, Detroit 4-53 diesel, 102 HP according to the ad.
Comes with a cab, obviously not installed.

It's what the Oliver 1900/1950 should have been but wasn't. Same engine/hp , put a cab and square sheetmetal/eggcrate grill and some green/white paint and Ollie could have been ahead of everyone else with this one. Don't know what it is but Oliver should have made a deal with them.

Jim, too rich for my blood @ $9500, but here's the ad in case
someone else is interested. It's listed in Lansing, MI CL, but the
map puts it near Huntington, IN. CL Ad

This was just on tractor house up until about a week or so ago. I don"t follow Wagner"s close but I think $9,500 is a tad much for this tractor. Yes it is different and I would like to have it but not at that price.

Same thing is down on the Minn-Mo Board, and as I
posted down there . . . .

It looks like it's part of an old piece of mining
equipment. "Wagner" is normally known for
manufacturing mining equipment. As to value that's
hard to say, it would depend upon a persons needs
& what they planned to use it for.

After spending a good part of my working life in the earthmoving business chasing TS-14 scrapers around I've heard enough screaming Jimmys for the rest of my life.

wagners are few and far between these days, it is a assembled tractor so the engine, transmission ect will be from manufactures ie cummins, detroit, eaton clark ect parts would come from those channels ...or maybe not, it may take some digging but there out there

Here's a nice, restored Wagner WA-4 at at the Alexander (NY) steam show a couple years ago.

I wouldn't want to go tearing across the field with that. One
good bounce and you'd be under one of those rear tires. If that
was produced now it would have 14 safety devices around that
seat and 45 warning labels between the ground and the
steering wheel.

I kind of like the little sucker.

There used to be quite a few of them south east of Brighton Colorado. I haven"t been out in that part of the world in a few years, but there was a salveage yard that had bunches of them back in the early 90s

You know why they had a cab? So you could slam your fingers
in the door . Then you started it and run it like you were trying to
kill it. It's the only way a 2 stroke Detroit was made to run !
