3020 progress

This is the pilot bearing out of the 3020 engine in the six cylinder motor as it was new.Plugged two excess holes in flywheel. Put the clutch on and bolted the engine on. Now have much to do on front of engine different water pump alternator pulley and fan. next week.

IIRC so crankcase oil can't leak through the otherwise open holes.

Nice work. I love your shop too - same as mine. Except you live in warm SC and I live in well cold Ohio. I love working outdoors when warm and sunny, but hate it when cold, dark, and rainey.

I forget which Deere 6cyl engine you are putting in the 3020 to replace the original 3020's 4 cyl. I will have to search the archives.

Looks like it should make it one heck on an improved tractor.

Through open bolt holes in a crankshaft of a running engine. :wink:
