JD 3320 won't crank

Any ideas? The neighbor got his 2005 JD3320 stuck during our last storm. Its been bitterly cold here in Michigan and he went to get it unstuck yesterday. When he goes to start it, it will crank over about 2 revolutions and stop. Try again and another 2 revolutions and stop. It will not continue to crank over without stopping after 2 revs. Jumping it doesn't change anything. Weird. Thanks

Many times if the battery is bad or connections are loose or corroded jumper cables do little good.
You may have to remove the battery clean up the connections and check the battery out.
Don't forget to check the cables where they mount at the frame and starter too.

Problem in the neutral or clutch safety switch? Jam the clutch down hard or wiggle the shift.

Is it a hydro? if so be sure it is in Neutral. Push the key in and turn almost to start to get the heater. Count to 1060.
