Waiting on hold

Been on hold for the last 15 minutes, message said wait could be 45-60! Anyhow bought a new printer and the stupid thing wont wireless connect so I figured while waiting I would see what everyone is talking about and maybe B**** about it a little bit. Argh!!!!

Ever noticed that they are always experiencing
"higher than normal call volumes"...

Yeah but your call is VERY important to them!

Hope that's not a HP printer...it will go to sleep, wired or wirelessly. Do some research and save the aggravation.

Oh your having a SMALL problem with your new printer are we?? Yep been thar done that . Not long ago we needed a new printer and like most things the fight was on with the War Dept. We have TWO perfectly good printers , BUT they need new INK and they are the ones with the individual cartage's And the one hooked to my puter NEEDS four of the six it has at about 13 bucks a pop. SHE will not buy them and i am forbidden to do so.The one upstairs Cost us nothing as her brother GAVE it to her and it is a high dollar one and it takes the (i think) two cartage's But they are expenscive and i am thinking like 80 some bucks for the pair. I think . But anyway she needed a printer wright now and i said well we will just get one of our up and running , Not the thing to say . So off we went and she spent the better part of and hour looking at PRINTERS and HOW MUCH THE REFILLS cost . So she grabs one and off we go to pay for it . Get home follow the Instructions to the letter and it will not work . After TWO HOURS on the phone with someone that can hardly speak English he say Machine is broken take back and try one more . So stuff everthing back in the box as best we can and back out to the store for another one . We did not get the same thing this round and stepped up one price range . Get home and start all over again and this time it worked . So lets see here better part of and evening shot with RUNNING and five gallon of 3.50 a gallon gas and 69.95 plus tax It would have been cheaper to just BY THE CARTAGE's for the good printer that DID work.

Have had others and HP has been the best. Have 2 of them now hooked to different computors.

I also have a HP for 8-10 years. It has been flawless.

A little late now but... A few years back, I down graded to a laser printer for the home office. Only prints b&w, but very simple machine, uses dry toner, won't dry out sitting for ever between uses. I replaced the original partially filled cartridge about a year ago, think it was around $30, Will probably last 5 years or more!

I had a wife like that.

My HP has been working flawlessly for 13 years. But then It has never been shut off, except power failures. Same with PC. Worst thing you can do to electronics is turn them on or turn them off.

got a new HP 6520 sitting behind me still in the box. Have a Lexmark that worked like a champ for 10 years and then got fuzzy on one side.

My computer Never gets shut off except if there's an outage or I'm out of town for more than a couple of days. 6 years running on this one now.

Are we complaining about printers or being on hold?
I was on hold with Blue Cross for an hour and fifteen minutes a few weeks ago. Just wanted a simple question answered about the due date on my premium. I waited for half an hour myself,gave the phone to the wife,went out and did some chores. She had JUST gotten through to a human when I came back in. She handed me the phone and it didn't take but a minute to find out what I wanted to know.

Jerry, the key word here is "HAD"!!

One of the software companies I have to deal with is notorious
for long wait times and they know it.
So much so that they actually let you chose the genre of hold
music you want to listen to and they let you change it every hour!
