This is the reading we have now. It was -29 early this a.m. SIL was with out water for a couple of days. water line froze up at the well house. Mouse chewed the heat tape in two so with the week and a half of sub zero weather, it was bound to happen. Were going to continue the freeze for the next week. or so they predict.

We ran out of oil for the oil furnance yesterday while me and my son was doing our shopping at wallyworld. The stock people was busy busy busy keeping the shelves full. Wasn't a run off for grocery's. Just keep in mind that with WEATHER LIKE THIS, MURPHYS LAW WILL HOLD TRUE. Keep warm. and safe. LOU.

It only dropped to about -25° overnight. Certainly warmer than it was on Feb 2, 1996. That night the thermometer at the shop read -43°. It was cold enough that I had to warm the propane tank on a truck to get fuel pressure to be able to drive it into the shop.

I don't know if the shop propane tanks had any pressure for the furnaces since I heat with waste oil as much as I have oil available. I could use a few hundred more gallons of oil this year.
