Well as of right now we have around 7 inches of snow. For some odd reason the first picture I took did not seem to work out but here is one of my oldest horse in the snow

What is that crop that you have growing in between the roof rafters in the upper left? It looks like it may have gone by, LOL. I just got in from raking the roof here and at church, but not really enough to worry about even if we get three inches of rain tonight.

greetings from st Charles mo. weve got about 8 to 10 inches and still snowing. hard to tell for sure weve got a lot of wind right now

CROP, well that is part of the horse barn and that is the hay loft above the tack house area. So what you see is part of around 100 or so square bales of hay. In the back ground is the bigger hay barn

We also have a lot of wind and at times almost a white out condition. If you really look good the building that is way back in the picture you can see it is full of tractors but one would have to look very very good to see any of them

The horse in the picture is around 27 years old. She is a reg. Arabian retired show horse. She taught my kids how to ride. We have yet to find any body who can make her do all the things she was trained to do. Matter of fact you put a western saddle on her she acts one way but chance the saddle to an English saddle and you have a different animal under you but yet you did not change horses

Old,
Hmmm. That's interesting.

Makes me think of draft horses at horse pulls. They are just wired to "GO" when they hear/feel the chains get hooked up. It looks to me like one does not want to be in their way... they will pull the weight sled right over you, I think.

Neat thing about the Arabian horse is that they seem to go out of there way to keep from hurting a person. Never been kicked by either one of the 2 we have. We also have 3 mini horses and a pony.

I was shoeing an arabian the owner assured me would stand "ground tied" It bit my shoulder and almost picked me up. In fear for HIS well being the owner promptly tied the horse and was my customer several years - till the hot check.
