I was east bound on I-70 heading to Indy when Bubba's cousin from Kanas passed me going over 70 with a donut spare on a back wheel. Are donut spares rated at 70 mph?
 
I see cars all the time passing me with the donut on them. That said, on a couple of occasions, I've also seen the same car that passed me setting a few miles down the road with the tire blown....Funny they now have no spare....LOL As far as speed, most donuts are rated around 45 MPH and even then only x amount of miles at rated, max speed.
 
Here locally a guy was killed a few years ago when he lost control on gravel running too fast on a donut. Jim
 
Well again now days few can read and those that can do not. Goes to the fact few care and those that do do not seem to care. Every car I have ever had that had one of those I did my best to have a real spare in it also if I did not throw that donut away
 
That is usually a pretty good indicater of how he is living the rest of his life. Usually pushing the limits of poor planning, carelessness and bad or tragic outcomes. Don't be surprised if the blue tarp fixing his roof is still there 6 months from now.
