Allan - you might want to put the steering wheel on the other end of the tractor-- counter weight ya know!

We keep seeing this M in action, have you gone retro on us ? LOL ! I mean, you did show us how to put a cab on an IH and make it nice for winter ?

Either there is more to that bale, (hollow and stashed with moonshine, tractor parts or some unknown other heavy items LOL !) or its just stuck to the ground, the front end is not high, the ground is just low, who needs front wheels when the back 2 will suffice LOL !

I WISH that was all that happened this morning. It's so cold that I broke the shaft right off my bale spear. Gonna be a lot of fun fixing that today.

Allan, Gotta Love those ol Ms! The Power is still in the Blood! Just gotta Weight them right!
LOL!

i bent the axles on a 1650 .
but the best was my amish neighbor he made a snow plow out of the front of a running gear plow on front horses on both side of pole tail wheel in back .hydraulic lift and steering anyways told him to take the blade off and mount spear on front well it handles large square bales ok but if he gets to big of a round bale and hits a hole we have an amish astronaut

Yes, I can laugh.

Reminds me of sitting (as a counterweight) on the front of the hood of my Father's D430 tractor, holding on to the headlights.
We did not have the luxury of having a larger tractor :-(

Have the Mrs. come out and help- but be smart and have her drive, and you be the counterweight- the other way around can lead to frying pan issues.

(quoted from post at 09:39:07 01/03/14) Ooops. May be time for some front weights.
eh,.sissy IH . ..my old 74 hp belarus picks up 2 of these bales on the rear without rearing up ;)

Seems to me somebody asked yesterday or so if the back end of the tractor was heavy enuf for that three point. Looks to me like it might have passed that test. Now, ya needs some more front end......

Scared myself good the first time I came up a rise on the two-track, that slopes a bit, with a load of wood on the carry all. Got pretty goosey. Thought I might have to jump, but rode it out. Learned to back up that part or not carry so much wood.

I had a 4X8 hog cage for the three point. My father-in-law borrowed it to haul firewood behind his John Deere 50. My kids were helping him load it with wood, and he was grumbling about the three point bleeding off. When they walked around to the side, they noticed the front wheels off of the ground. The three point was working good. You can put more firewood in a 4X8 cage than a JD 50 can pack.
