OT - No Rose Bowl for us

Grrrrr...

First of all, I"m not a diehard football fan, but how many times does a local school - (Michigan State) get to go to the ROSE BOWL? So I thought I"d at least watch the game. Well I started checking out the network broadcast stations websites. NONE of them carrying the game. A little futher research has found it is on ESPN... In otherwords cable/satellite. Well there"s no cable available out here in the country, and I don"t have enough TV watching to afford a dish - SO I"M OUTTA LUCK! Money talks, and I don"t have any!
Someone want to call me with the final score?

I'm in the same boat as you for my college team. The athletic department there does a running blog of the games so I can at least follow along as best I can. I'd think that game would be on at least one radio station in your area. I listened to the Iowa game that way this afternoon.

Well we aren't getting here in outer MN either I understand your frustration being form MI and all, we would or are for your team.

I'd sooner beat my head on the wall than watch a football game, because I think it would be more worthwhile use of my time than watching a football game.

Don't care to know who is playing or who wins. Just trying to keep them from getting a hand in my pocket.

Not a Rose Bowl final, but just got a recent score from the Roman Coliseum, Lions 4, Christians nothing.

The game is only televised on ESBN. MSU just tied the score 17-17 early in the third quarter.

I've sometimes been able to live stream radio broadcast of football games from the school's website. Have you tried MSU's athletic department website?

Worst case you may have got to a pay-per-view website, buy the game, and watch it on your computer screen.

Another option is to tell the wife you're taking her out to dinner, travel into town to a nice sports bar or restaraunt that has big screen TV's and enjoy the rest of the game, a meal and some beers there?

Have a Happy New Year!!!

You missed a GOOD ONE! Down to the wire. Even though I'm a Buckeye I was pullin' hard for 'em--- you know-- the Big Ten. YES!!!

I dumped DTV and went with Dish. Got tired of DTV upping the prices every time the weather changed. I use them and Wildblue for my internet services.
