enzymes for driveway improvement

in the new "best of farm show" there are two ads for enzymes to solidify driveways and parking lots. I sure could use it! Is this snakeoil.does it really work and is long lasting?

Here in florida its about $35 yd.......looking for a better/cheaper answer. The enzymes are supposedly used widely in farm states.

I have the county put salt brine on the road in front of the house. You'd be surprised how that firms up the road. It can be a rutted up muddy mess everywhere else and it is like blacktop for that 300 feet.

We have a few oil wells in our area and the salt water in the settling tanks works great. Road commissioner used that on some roads 40 years ago and they are still in great shape. Years ago we had a gravel road going to the hard road past our house. It always had a big hole during the spring and rainy weather. They put large rock in it but it did not help. Shale cured the problem.
