Was at the wiki www just now (http://tractors.wikia.com/wiki/Cummins) and found out that my B 3.3L I4 engine is the same series of engine as the I6 5.9 and 6.7L diesels that are popular in school busses and are used in the Ram P/U trucks.

My little Branson 6530C just got some more clout.

Close but not quite. The 3.9 and the 5.9 B series were the same engine family and many of the parts were interchangeable. The 3.3 is a joint venture between Cummins and Komatsu and isn't the same as the 3.9 and the 5.9.

Okaye. Whatever you say. I only know what I read on the Wiki site. But I did get some free publicity on my little tractor and maybe it will result in someone else realizing just what a great machine Kukje builds.

Yeah I know I put it in the yesterdays forum. But it's 6 years old now. That ought qualify for something.

Well Your little tractor maybe the best there ever was but it still is Korea and Japanese designed an produced. This country lost a bunch of men and women in wars that where caused by both those countries. So I buy as little as I can from them. This also includes Germany too.

It would be like me buying some thing that was produced in Vietnam. NEVER going to happen.

Well sir that was then and this is now. The folks you are talking about are not the people employed today. Since most of the tractors in the smaller sizes at least are produced overseas, I guess it limits your procurement possibilities, were you in the market, which by looking at your fine pictures, are not.

Besides, common folks like us are not the ones that cause the problems. We are just caught up in them whether we choose or not, or like it or not, and have to suffer the consequences for years on end.

South Korea was and is our allie and a US friendly country. They make and sell some good cars and tractors here and I will buy them. Not to fond of Jap made or Chinees either.

JDSeller, You and me both. Anyone who thinks differently is definitely not seeing the big picture.

And just think, it has 4 wheels and tires, makes it common with a lot of JDs and Fords.

I bought a ride in a 1942 WACO biplane and found that the engine was made by the same company that my tractor engine was. I was tickled to death!

Having Cummins in the mix sure can't hurt your parts availability. My buddy was long looking for a starter for his mini tractor and it turned out to be a Nissan part. Your local Cummins rep should be able to put you right on track without the guesswork.

tiresntracks has it right...the Cummins B3.9 shares the same iron as the 5.9. Some parts are interchangable like pistons, rods, oil squirts, injectors etc. Other parts are similar but not the same like the oil pump, water pump, and oil cooler to name a few. The 3.3 does not share any parts with the 5.9, and the only real similarities would be the fact that they run on diesel, have an "inline" design, etc....3.3s were used in a wide variety of applications though.

Ditto - AND according to my JD dealer all of their tractors up to 100hp are made overseas so pick your color and spend the money - make the 'NEW WORLD ORDER' proud
