Going to replace the Sickle Drive Belt. Will the belt slip underneath or do you have to remove the Wobble Drive. O almost forgot. Its a New Holland 467.

If its the same as a 479 there are a couple shims under wobble box that come out and give you room to slip belt thru

I think I had one of them. Got tired of not being able to grease the zerk at the far end of the drive line (at the ujoint in front of the slip clutch) since it had an enclosed drive shaft. So I got my torch out and cut a 12" hole in the side and had no more problems. Probably a 6" would have worked, but I did the big one for spite.

Other thing I didn't like about it was to move from the road position to the cut position and back, I had to take along a piece of cinder block to block the right rear wheel. Swore I'd never have another so I sold it and bought a JD 1209 with an open shaft. I don't know how you put up with it.

Ok I had my venting session. Sorry; on second thought, naw. NH deserved it.

Texas Mark. Don't know what you had but mine does not have an enclosed Driveshaft. No slip clutch. Overrunning clutch in front main Gearbox. It is a pain to move from transport but I just keep top of Tongue greased and move it by hand. Tell you one thing. These are one tough machine. Have had it 30 years and with good maintenance have never replaced anything but Roller Drive Chains and Sickle bars.

Well it's been 20 years and the numbers were something like that. It was NH (red-orange and yellow) and the DS was surely enclosed. It cut fine. Just had a problem with the things mentioned.
