What ever happened to just a lump of coal in the stocking? Just kidding, nice find. Is it a grain deere?

I always tell my red buddies to replace that big old rusty coil spring under the seat, it can snap and dump the driver off the back. Do you Deere guys do put on new ones too?

First thing I would do is get that seat off and put the correct one on. There are plenty of old JD original seats out there. That one has to have some red paint on the spring.
Nice find. I always love to see a 2 cylinder brought back to life. Done a couple myself.

Nice santa present there now I'm jealous, I helped a friend of mine get one running and I am still mad at my Uncle he had a 2 cylinder JD and he mentioned he was thinking about sailing for around $1000 I was saving the money and was nearly there told him several times I was saving the money came home one day it was gone he let it go for $800 (someone drove by saw it behind his house and stopped and made an offer) and it was running good I still fuss at him for doing that I wanted it bad I had 900 already saved up too when he let it go.

Have fun with your project

good news, bad news , tractor was still full of antifreeze, the carb works nothing stuck, bad news the oil filter head needs replaced and yes its stuck.not worried about the rims and tires got them already

Geez. Where do you start? I guess you close your eyes, stick your hand out, walk forward till you touch something, and start there.

Good luck.
