As many said we go from very cold to warm in a weeks time. I thought we'd have snow cover all winter! I saw this veiw from my sunroom so I took a pic, above the top of the trees that white area is fog laying in the valley, above that you can see the other Mountians, looked neat I thought.

Couple days ago looking down the road and the way the fog was rolling in all I could think of was the movie "The Fog" . Today almost all the snow is gone leaving mostly mud and grass.
Located about 20 minutes north of Syracuse NY.

Grandpa used to talk about a year, in the 40's I think, where it snowed 8" in October. He figured it would be spring before he could get the corn out. In the middle of December he was picking corn in his shirtsleeves. You just never know what's coming next. Keep the pics coming.

Same thing here, my lower field is in a valley and its fogged out, odd weather today, fog comes and goes some places, others it lingers.

Must have been 8-9 years ago fog hit northern Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, aand Michigan, like that, but EVERYWHERE! Running down the interstate at 30 MPH because no one could see anything. Cars running around with their flashers on so you couldn"t see when they hit their brakes. Think it was 3-4 days like that, big wreck on I-96 up near Lansing, don"t know how we didn"t have any trucks in any wrecks those days. The only relief was when the wind blew, you would drive into a clear spot behind some trees or something now and then.

My younger brother was born in October 25 on a nice fall day. The next day, Dad took us to see the baby and he was pushing snow with the front bumper. For several years thereafter, it snowed on my brother's birthday, but it hasn't done that in the last 40 years.

Here is a link that was captured yesterday in upstate New York..........the Genesee River.....in Letchworth Park...also a few views of the high trestle that goes over the Letchworth Gorge....the trestle is still active......

Great video Rick. Thanks for posting that. I live close to the Mohawk, and Hudson rivers, I can imagine they were "angry" too!

Pictures like that don't happen every day. Beautiful shot! Today, in central NC we hit 70+, rain late and Monday, then Tuesday high forecast 43!
