GE TV revisited

A couple of days ago I made a post about a 48" GE TV advertised for $399. Looked at it yesterday and left it in the store. 60HZ screen and two ports in back. But I did do a lot of looking and comparing so if a bargain falls in my lap I'll be more prepared to know if it really is a bargain. Thanks for the input you gave me in the first post. Jim

My brother just called three hours ago, he was looking at a 32" RCA. He said the picture was terrible, came home with a LG.

What are you going to hook it up to?
I think I have 8 or so inputs on mine, I use two.
One of which is a computer, so 60 HZ would not work for me.
Just because this one or that one has more features doesn't
make it any better for your intended purpose.
Kinda like buying a $50,000 cab tractor to plow your driveway in town.
It may be the latest and greatest, but may not be needed.

never noticed the difference between 60 HZ and 120 HZ till I was comparing them in the store. 60 is definitely more jerky when the motion is fast. As far as ports goes, the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned. Other than that a plain ol TV is fine with me. After I got home I looked at the wall where the TV sits and and it looks to me like a 32" would be a better fit. Jim
