IH 584 Brake falls to floor

Replaced both brake valves on IH 504 but not the equalizer. Bled them well. Right brake is now hard and high--works great. Left brake is intermittent--when it works it's hard and high. But then it drops to the floor and provides no braking. Suggestions?

Does the left brake work properly when both brakes are applied at the same time?

I think there's an o-ring in the brake housing that goes bad. Have fun getting to it.
