Washer SMELL GONE!!!!!

I got some of the "Washer Magic" and the instructions told me to run three full loads through the washer with this product in it. The inside smell is gone and the cloths smell fresh an clean now.

The part that is infuriating is this. I told the wife about what I had to use in the washing machine to get the smell out of it. She said " Yes there was a bottle of that stuff that came with the washer when it was new but I never used any of it" ARGGGGGGGGGGGG The bottle I bought cost $10. She told me that she had the other bottle back at the farm house. Sure enough the bottle was still in the utility room closet.

So we had smelly laundry for weeks. I had the well shock treated TWICE, I replaced the water filter, and flushed the waterheater out too. Plus I paid money for something that WE already had. JUST GREAT!!!!!

I have to laugh or I would scream in rage. LMAO

I have all our household owners manuals along with every owners manual we have in a single file in file cabinet. Whenever wifey complains about an appliance etc, I get the manual out and hand it and a pair of glasses to her and tell her to call me again when she's done reading. Problem usually solved...including the one you just had.

For me it would be a good time to sit down with an adult beverage. At least the problem is solved now. Save the extra chemical in case the smell problem returns.

John Our washer is a front load. I just can't trust the seals on a front load washer to not leak.

It is kind of like those walk in bath tubs that you see. The wife is looking at them as she could get in and out much easier but will the "door" be water tight for very long?????

I got a front load I reposed from my kid.
Was on my credit when they went through a break up.

Hate the thing.
You about have to get on your hands and knees to unload unless you put it on a pedestal.
Gasket leaks unless you keep it super clean.
And had problems with low water level leading to laundry smell.

old trick on filing cabinet put important papers in middle drawer in case of fire water might get bottom fire top middle will be ok

We've had front loaders since 1955. We bought the first one a few months after I was discharged from the Army. We're on our fourth or fifth front loader and none of them ever leaked. Hal

Weve had out front loader about 7 years now, not leaked the first time. One hint, if you dont already, use bleach in your whites, keeps the smell from coming back. One more thing, most of those washer cleaners are nothing more than concentrated bleach.

What's the old saying...something about a "failure to communicate"??

Stay with it JD Seller! You're bound to be nominated for the "Good House Keeping" award this year!

Folks, here's a man who can completely disassemble ANY tractor known to man (blind folded) and put it back together again. Yet..........a little ol' washing machine tears him a new one! Who says ones horizons can't be broadened? Hang in there Jd....we're with you!

It was not money wasted.

Sooner or later the washer will start to smell again, and you will need to repeat the treatment.

Now you have a bottle on hand ready to go.

Front loads went out when I was a kid. Bendix as I recall. Can't for the life of me believe that mfgrs have brought them back and people are stupid enough to pay twice the price of a quality top load to get to watch their clothes on TV.

Kinda like clothes. One day you have a neck tie the width of a shoe string. Next thing you know you can wrap up in the things.

Pants have cuffs and then no cuffs. Then bell bottoms and then bell bottoms with cuffs....ever trip over the BB cuffs on a stairwell and almost break your neck falling down.

Now the rage is black wheels. The black tire was first. Then the fat white wall. Then the 3/4" ww. Then the 1/4" ww. Then it turned red. Then it disappeared and rather than a dull magnesium wheel they came up with cast alum. Then cast alum with chrome skins. Now it's to hexx with color and you have black wheels and black tires or black wheels with chrome accents, or alum accents and black wheels. And to go with the black crap you have mud tires with cleats on the side on the front of a 2 wd road cruiser. But that's cool. Gotta be cool. Gotta go with the fad.

So now they are claiming that red fishing line is the fad. Cajun has been selling it for a couple of decades that I know of. Seems the Zebco reel co (daddy loved them back in the 1950's) bought out Cajun and their (Zebco) OEM reels are equipped with it. I know as I just bought 2 and both had red line on them. Says it disappears below 3'. Funny, most of my fishing is above 3'.

What happened to blue (Dupont) Stren. Clear, invisible at any depth, glowed in the sun so if you were a line watcher like I am you could see where your line was and whether or not you got a strike.

Sure glad I had a technical career (by choice). Would have been a real problem for me to be in the retail trade, especially in sales.

My 2c as usual, worth every penny you paid for it.

Mark

PS Did we ever figure out who has some apple cider "shine"?
