LOL I bet that will get guys to check this out.

Wife has not been able to go to church in almost two months. The paster has been out several times but she still feels out of faith so to speak.

So I called him up earlier in the week and asked him to come out for supper Sunday night. His wife is a supper nice lady too. I know they both will help lift my wife's spirits.

The Pastor teased me about "HIS" service calls being "FREE". LOL

The DILs have covered the food for supper. LOL (Most of this week will be left overs)

Wife just called and told me to get in the house because it was MY job to clean the house up for company. I thought I quit following orders when I got out of the service 35 years ago. HER majesty must be OBEYED. LAMO Got to go play house keeper.

I should do such a terrible job that I will get fired. Weeeeeell then I would have to Pay some Profession cleaners. I had better just do it myself and save the check book.

Talk later guys!!!!

lol some words to the wise , the easiest way out of this is to do it, and not say 1 thing, lol guess how i know... dont give the preacher anything to mention to the other church ladies in passing like a house thats unreasonable which im sure yours isnt, last faith comes from within, not the preacher, he just reinforces it if you believe in god, you can be anywhere and he's still right there

I believe the pastor is saying that when you back to church to leave a small pile in the collection plate!

Good to hear see is doing better.

My wife did not like housework. ('Course, I didn't find that out until after we were married,) But when she went to work full time after the youngest started school, I did a lot of the housework including cooking. Sure, I would have preferred to have been outside working, but that's the way it goes sometimes.
I realize what you said was mostly in fun, but that's what marriage is all about. Give and take, and sometimes give and give. LOL
Hoping all goes well, and your wife improves.

JD:

Try a little different kind of spirits, like some Hot Buttered Rum. That ought to perk her up. LOL

Shadetree:

I thought that was one of the things you have kids for. Besides keeping their rooms clean & straightened up, you assign each one a "house chore" to do.

That's the way I grew up, and it didn't hurt me any.

Farmer hung up the phone and said ,Mother put more water in the soup.Pastor is coming for supper.

I put the wrong cloths in the dryer once so I'm not allowed to do laundry any more. I chipped a plate so I'm not allowed to wash dishes anymore. I haven't yet figured out what to do to not be able to wash a floor anymore.

I made the mistake of telling my wife a couple of years ago that sometimes when she is prattling away...you know, yap yap yap like some women tend to do. ( I don't need a play by play of everything that occurred during the day. Just hit the highlights and important stuff. ) Well anyway, I told her that when two or more women get together or on the phone, all I hear is braack brrrack bracck like my chickens do...bahkaack bhaackkk. I think she is testing me now to see if I am listening because she will back track and ask me about something she said an hour or so before. I think I blew it after 37 years...lol  I'm sure it's going to cost me dearly for her gift this Christmas. ughh, just keep mouth shut...just keep mouth shut...ahhhhhh.

Yep, my wife and I have an understanding after we came to the conclusion that she had to redo everything inside I did. The way it works now is she doesn't mow, pull weeds, shovel snow, take out the trash, clean out the garage, etc...

Here is a tip. I use to vacuum the pickup out, then I hit on the idea of opening all 4 doors, taking out the floor mats and using the air hose. Once it was real messy so I took the leaf blower to it. Then I started blowing the dust out of the garage, opening the doors and start at the front, then I tried it on the screened in porch.

So from now on, my weapon of choice for cleaning is the leaf blower. Give it a try!!! You'll be fired for sure.
