(quoted from post at 11:18:29 12/05/13) Yeah, the trees lose their leaves and look so barren.
Trees? I guess your & my computer must be showing different pictures?

You poor fellers, we are currently in a heat wave. When I got up at 5 it was a whopping 12 degrees! Getting ready to go to the beach as we speak!!! :) Bryce

My buddy filled the pellet stove and got water from the laundry last night, I woke up to 56 in he house and no hot water. Bummer.
He's in trouble now.

Boy howdy. Even the balmy Pacific Northwest is sitting at 16 degrees this AM.

Am reminded of a cartoon years ago- Bundled up folks just barely visible through the blowing snow, spraying spray cans into the air- Caption: "The hearty citizens of Chillblain, North Dakota do what they can to help global warming along."

As i type this it is 61 degrees with gray cloudy rainy skyes on the fifth or Dec. here in N.E Ohio .Now i can handle this temp wise but the honeymoon will end soon and the warm feet and hands will soon be a thing of the past . Took advantage of the warm spell and got one batch of Sheepie feed ground and sacked one load of fat cow feed ground and in the steer stuffer and another one ground and in the grinder mixer for next weeks filling . Weighed the fat cows and got in some deer hunting with out frost bit fingers and toes but did have to fight off skeeters yesterday and some flys were out . Deer hunting is not going to well myself i have only seen three deer , two does and one 6-8 point not sure on it as he was to far out and was at high warp when i saw him and i did not calculate quite wright on the mortar round affect shot and at the last second he turned . and the two doe were almost to far for a good rifle shot even while standing . even opening day there were fewer shots fired this year then last and last year was bad in our area.

I can close my eyes and visualize summe....No I can't. Will have to put up with winter weather for a long while. Here in Northern NY, next to the border with the AAAAAA people, we can have winter weather almost anytime of the year. This is a dreadful place to live..
Temp this morning was 35 above heading toward 50. Will be back to normal in a few hours.

ALAN, Remember "In the spring, a YOUNG mans fancy lightly turns to thoughts of LOve. With us old cronies. In spring and ole fart turns to thoughs of HOW MUCH LONGER can winter last????? That can only be for guys over 70 with I.H tractors.lol. LOU

How does your tractor cope with those hills Allan?
I wish our ground was as hilly as that!!!
Sam

11:50 AM, PST - Beautiful cloudless Blue skies, Sun is shining, and it's a CHILLY 36* outside, here in Pa's rump , Nevada .

Come on down to SC I'll put fuel in one of our green tractors and you can plow all you want. The high 70's will feel like summer to you, the only thing our fields aren't near that long.
Ron

We are lucky with no snow. I went to Sioux Falls this morning. They have snow. About 6.5" I guess.

We have a nice storm warning for central Arkansas. Expecting to loose electric sometime in the next 24 hours. Power company says to plan on outages for 5 to 7 days.

I won't go so far as to say I miss summer because I hate Arkansas summers. However as I sit here now it's freezing rain and about 28* and headed to zero tomorrow night. It seems like only yesterday it was in the 70's and sunny. I guess that's because yesterday it WAS in the 70's and sunny.

70 deg + this morning at 8 am. now 35 deg 10 hrs latter. cold rain changing to ice latter tonight.

You might complain about the cold but just think how much worse it would be without all the global warming that has been going on for the last 10 years.

You don't have GPS on that rig, do you?

(Just kidding!)

The nearby DEERE dealer has a LARGE retro black and white photo of a 7520 pulling a gang hitch of 3 or 4 drills and overlapping by about a forth high on the wall over the parts counter... I gave them &%&^ about it and said the GPS must not have been working... I was told LOTS of guys have noticed the overlap... Wonder WHY DEERE would have reproduced something so inaccurate?
