Allright, Fess Up!

I have to admit that I have a problem. The first place I go to when the 'puter gets fired up is to check the Craigslist Farm and Garden section to look for any goodies that someone is just itchin' to sell to me cheap! Lol. Swmbo knows what my next move is...and promptly tells me to "Back slowly away from the phone"...that is if I want to keep the dialing finger on my hand for long...lol Dang, I got to find me a new swmbo 'cause after 37 years she just knows me all too well.

Im with ya.. except wife doesnt say anything. Usually though I go to Farm, then to Materials, then to Generals. in that order. I just need to sale some stuff to instead of just buying. I have had tremendous success in selling hay though..

My Days have changed from buying to selling.(that is what I tell my wife) Gotta get in gear and get stuff listed. Tractors, Trucks, Equipment, Tools, Etc Etc. Put a HIGH price on a horse drawn planter that I had as Yard Art. It is gone.

Yep, Right now I am in the process of removing a number of pieces that "I might need someday," or stuff such as lawn mowers, both push and riding that someone says, "You got any need for any of this?" And I say,"Sure, might use some parts off it." Well, after twenty or thirty years you finally come to the conclusion that there ain't much demand for twenty or thirty year old mower parts. Just like the half dozen vehicle radiators that I took to the recyclers with some other stuff the other day, some went back to 1957, but none were actually worth trying to use now. So, I'm cleaning off a lot of stuff, gotta make room for "new" junk, y'know.

I check CL at least once a day for farm and garden stuff. If I need it and have the cash for it I buy it and don't even ask the wife.

I won't even pretend to hide from the fact I'm a CL junky !!! LOL! Practically speaking, its been the best source over time to acquire things I've needed, and just about everything I've bought over the years has been very useful, also something to be thankful for, being on a fixed income, and having a few needs, that website does make things possible. The fixed part is close to changing, got my fingers crossed, I look back and am amazed at improvements I have made, scrimping/saving and or just being a little frugal, its really the reasonable prices for items. Some of the "one of's or things you don't see often, at prices that extremely fair, it happens over time if you are looking for something specific. Works both ways, and I know at some point in time when age dictates what you can do in life, I can only hope to enjoy selling these same things to others to enjoy or make life easier, you can't take it with you, LOL ! and you can't work forever. Most if not all items have a fun story behind them, I can, off memory recall from each item those stories. I've seen enough that I could have become a hoarder of old manufacture, quality goods, but no need to be greedy, just some things that are needed and put to good use, that make life a bit easier at the best price you'll find for good old quality, its something to be thankful for.

same here - although my REAL weakness is auctions.

They're not very popular here (in MA) - but I go to ohio a few times a year to visit my amish friends - to them auctions are like sporting events. And there's 10 going on every day of the week somewhere.

I'm totally hooked and always have to buy SOMETHING, as long as I can get it cheap - whether or not I need it is a secondary concern.

Can't say no to a great deal.

I hit CL several times a day/night. Right now I'm looking for fencing, chain link/kennel parts and T-posts. I've found that you have to move quickly, otherwise some other "junky" gets it. Not just Farm & Garden, I also hit "free stuff" often. I don't always find a lot here, usually just pallets or scrap lumber. I've been happy with everything so far.

My rake, stock trailer, hay wagon, baler, pickup, both riding mowers, and a couple cows have come from CL. Sold about $8000 in hay on CL last June.

If I was younger I could probably find a wife if I wasn't too picky.....

I only check CL once in a while....Good way to spend
money.I have however bought a few things..........

I check CL 2 or 3 times a day but as long as I have the $$ I can buy what I want when I want and my wife does not say one single thing but she knows better.

I check CL regularly and try to listen to the Country Sale on the radio. I'm divorced, so SWMBO is not an issue. My hound dog likes to ride along with me when I find something good, so he doesn't fuss about me buying good junque.
