We have hills like that in southwest Nebraska but we're smart enough to fence them off and let the cattle have them. One rain and the dirt would all be at the bottom.

They have hay barns with a crane system running in rails under the roof. Many of those farmers don't have any flat ground at all and don't grow any other crops so they need the hay for winter feed.
 

What kind of hay do you suppose that is, that it is valuable enough for someone to go on that ground to get it? i think that I would buy it in from a day's drive away.
