That intersection looks a lot like heading east on M-21 into Muir, Pewamo, or somewhere there abouts. There is a grocery store to the right side of the picture in that parking lot.

Just cant place it right now. Am I close with my guess?

It is heading East on M21, in Ionia.
We were waiting at the light to turn right and continue South on M66.
I'd say pretty durn close, Muir's about 7 miles straight ahead.

I know right where that intersection is. Traveled 66 north many times. My BIL lives on Collins road just north of Fenwick. MapQuest says the shortest/fastest route for me is I-96 to 66, then north. I like the familiarity of M-57 or M-21 to 66. BIL lives just west of 66.

Thanks for clearing my brain there. That was bugging me. I could recognize the intersection, just couldn"t place the exact location.

I drive M21 maybe 3 times a year back from GR to Flint. Its a nice little run, and lots more scenery than I96 to 69. And the big plus, lots and lots of "stuff" for sale along the road. Thrills the wife to no end, "you aren"t going to buy it anyway you already have 5 of those". I say, "If the price is right, we"ll have six!"

Agree with you Larry. I spend a lot of my days gobbling up expressway. To me its relaxing to drive a nice 55mph with no traffic on M21/57/46.

I spent a lot of days on 696/75/94 all over metro Detroit. Any day I can avoid it I do.

There's some town names I haven't seen in a while- Sturgis, Adrian, Jonesville, Charlotte, Okemos, Comstock Park, South Haven. We'd take 43 from Kalamazoo to South Haven when they loaded us that way, for Holland we'd go to Plainwell and catch 89 over to 40, always liked the Muskegon/Ludington run, the people were nice and the stores had truck parking. Never made the Cadillac/Traverse City/Petosky run. Did get to Alpena once. That's a long drag back down to much of anything from there. No one liked going to the store in Taylor, MI, the manager was a real, uh, the word would likely get me poofed, but I think you get it. I don't think I saw any of her crew last more than 2 weeks.
