OT - new addition

I think I posted a picture of our new hay burner a few weeks ago.

But my wife tells me these Belgians need friends... so this one "accidentally" fell into the trailer on the way over here.

She's a lot darker and smaller than our other one, so not a great matched team, but they were friends. Who am I to break them up.
...

... now let's see... that's another bale a day... plus grain... I better not think too much about it...

You can't go wrong if you have the room for them. They don't have to be matched perfect. If you team them up, always have the shorter one on the left side as you are sitting in the seat. If you are on a road, the road usually slopes to the right and it will even them up a little. The Belgians are a great horse. Here are my two recent additions. Good luck - Bob

neighbor always liked to send her horses over to my place to feast on my sweet corn. it was a lot cheaper to feed em the way she figgered.

Great idea. Nearest neighbor's corn field is about a 10 minute walk, but you can't beat free food... : ) I'll have to try that.
