A great jazz pianist, Among other endeavors such as a foundry worker, welder, mechanic, block layer, well man, home builder, electrician, jet mechanic,School bus driver 13 years, way to many jobs to mention, but given enough time I can look em all up. Thought you might be interested in a 79+old codger who doesn't like B.S. or baby talk . lol. LOU

Reminds me of the time I was in a bar and the guy next to me reached in his pocket and pulled out a 12" piano but said he couldn't play it so I reached in my pocket and pulled out a 12" p...., oh wait, I can't tell that one here;-).
 
In other words, you are like many of us, if it breaks, you fix it. If it is necessary, you do it. BTW, that picture must have been taken about 30-40 years ago! LOL.
 
shadetree,although I have been involved with many repair projects ,ie tractor/crawler, what I've learned was from reading and applying and suggestions from incredible gifted people, The one thing I was borne with was a talent that very few people have. I started playing the piano at age 3 and did some classical works at age 5. I am self taught and very few can state that.From the picture, no one would guess I am a fine Jazz piano player .I look like anything but.Any one can learn to do repairs on most anything but to start a talent from such an early stage is truly remarkable that sets one aside from others. Not better, but Different.
Creating a melody from a mind set , and have that music to become part of ones life isn't possible for many to obtain. I truly love to create music as it sets me aside from others but that doesn't mean that I'm better then anybody else who doesn't have the talent I was born with. JMHO Regards LOU
 
I was working at my boss' house, and some incredible piano was wafting to my ears! I assumed it was his wife, as it appeared to be some one with several years experience! Later his wife was outside talking to me and it was still wafting! Turns out it was his son-around 10 years old!!!! I hear said, he can hear a song once and then play it note for note!
